What to do if the SiriusXM Windows App is Not Working

We’ve all been there—ready to jam out to our favorite SiriusXM stations, only to find the app isn’t cooperating. The SiriusXM Windows app is not working because the developer pulled out their support for the software in October 2023. Unfortunately, you may only use it in the car, your mobile, some smart TVs and devices and on your browser.

Yes, you may still see the app on Microsoft Store, but when you try to get it, there is no download button. Hopefully, they will get back to their decision but until then, let’s see how you can still enjoy SiriusXM.

What can I do if the SiriusXM app is not working?

1. Use the SiriusXM web player

  1. Launch any web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Edge).
  2. Go to the SiriusXM online player.
  3. Enter your SiriusXM credentials to log in and access the web player.
  4. You can now stream SiriusXM content directly from your browser without relying on the Windows app.

Using the web player is a quick workaround if the SiriusXM Windows app is not functioning and allows you to continue listening to your stations.

2. Clear the browser cache and cookies

  1. Click the three dots or hamburger menu icon in the top-right corner of your browser and select Settings.
  2. Find and click on the Privacy and Security section.
  3. Select Clear browsing data or Clear cache and cookies, depending on the browser you’re using.
  4. Choose All time to clear all data.
  5. Click Clear data or Clear now.

Clearing your browser’s cache and cookies can help resolve issues related to outdated or corrupted data, which might be causing problems with the SiriusXM web player.

4. Update Windows and your browser

  1. Press the Start button and type update, click on Check for updates and follow any prompts to install available updates.
