Outlook is set to introduce a new shortcut that will no doubt become one of the most popular on the platform.
According to the latest entry in the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, the platform will use the CTRL + Y to allow users to quickly navigate to a folder when they’re focused on the folder pane.
Users will have to press CTRL + Y + the first letter of the folder name they want to go directly to that folder.
When focused on the folder pane, users can now press CTRL + Y to quickly navigate to a folder. Simply press the first letter of the folder name to move focus directly to that folder.

This new shortcut will be implemented in August 2024 in the new Outlook for Windows and the web, and it’s not the first. A few months ago, the Redmond-based tech giant introduced the platform’s famous CTRL + C and CTRL + V shortcuts.
Will you use this one?
