On August 1st, Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, a 2002 game people treasure, will return on Xbox. But this is not just an ordinary return. This action-adventure game that originally charmed gamers on the PS2 and Nintendo GameCube is ready to impress players on other current consoles like PS5, PS4, PC, and even Nintendo Switch.

And you know what? It costs $19.99. But wait, there’s even more. This is a re-release, not just an old game on another platform. It has been polished with visual enhancements and new characteristics like compatibility with DualSense and Steam Deck.

And when you finish the campaign, you can use a Boba Fett skin for your next playthroughs. How cool is that?

The story of Star Wars: Bounty Hunter centers around Jango Fett, who is well-known as a bounty hunter and the original model for the Republic’s Clone Army. He takes up the mission to hunt down Dark Jedi Komari Vosa, but naturally, it becomes complex because Fett gets caught in a plot that includes different syndicates.

But, there is a turn. As the devotees patiently wait for this polished edition, a hint of anxiety can be sensed. Why, you might wonder? To begin with, Aspyr, the studio managing this remaster, has had a mix of successes and failures.

They did an excellent job with Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered, but their performance for Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection was not so good. Furthermore, their participation in the KOTOR remake ended after presenting a demo that failed to impress much.

Hence, everyone asks the same question about this quality split: Which group will Star Wars: Bounty Hunter fit into?

And for all the fans, this remastered version delivers a hidden surprise from the old game. Do you recall the message “Cash in all bounties to play as Boba”? It’s possible to achieve a Boba Fett skin after finishing the campaign. It’s like a gift to the fans, a cool extra that might not exactly match the story but is very good.

So, what do you say? Are you prepared to immerse yourself once more in the realm of Jango Fett and delve into the Star Wars galaxy’s murkier sections?

August 1st is not too distant, and for just $19.99 ($17.99 on Xbox now, if you pre-order it), Star Wars: Bounty Hunter can be on your Xbox; it is a true bargain to experience a return flight into a galaxy far away with extra shine and play as Boba Fett. So, we can only hope this remaster is worthy of the original’s legacy and creates a fresh part of the Star Wars story for fans to love.

You can also pre-order the game for PC if you plan to play it there. Meanwhile, if the news sparked some memories within you, you can always become a Jedi in Starfield.
